2020 - Artistic Expression Contest Winner

Mariana was selected by the Family and Youth Services Bureau’s Runaway and Homeless Youth Program as the winner of the 2020 Artistic Expression Contest. Her work "The Journey" was chosen by a panel of bureau representatives and youth from the youth advisory board. She received praise for her creative process and reflection upon life's journey with three words of encouragement -- respect, beauty and love. The contest empowered youth to use art as an outlet to express themselves and tell their stories. Award was recognized virtually.
