Anchor House was founded in 1978 by a group of concerned citizens to help move youth and young adults who are experiencing homelessness or have runaway off the streets of Trenton and reunite them with their families. Today, Anchor House offers a myriad of comprehensive, life-saving programs and services. Our mission is to provide youth and young adults who are experiencing abuse, neglect, homelessness, or are aging out of the child welfare system with comprehensive services that offer them and their families the support they need to succeed and thrive. The anchor is used as a metaphor representing a ship dropping its anchor as a safe place to rest and wait out the storm.
