Anchor House is pleased to welcome Matthew Polizzotto to our Board of Directors. Matthew brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in healthcare, mental health, and human resources. He began his career in direct care as a Mental Health Technician and Youth Counselor before advancing into senior leadership roles overseeing strategic operations, workforce development, and employee engagement for organizations with more than 1,000 employees.

Matthew now serves as Director of Operations at Northeast New Jersey Legal Services, where he supports the nonprofit’s mission of providing access to justice for vulnerable populations. Matthew is also the Founder of Next Cup Leadership, a consulting and coaching practice that helps nonprofits, healthcare providers, and mission-driven organizations strengthen leadership, culture, and employee well-being.

Why the mission of Anchor House is meaningful to Matthew:
“As someone who has dedicated his career to supporting individuals, families, and communities, I deeply connect with Anchor House’s mission. Anchor House strengthens lives and creates opportunities for growth and healing, which mirrors my lifelong commitment to fostering dignity, purpose, and hope for all. I am honored to be selected for the Board of Anchor House and look forward to helping in any way I can.”

Personal note: Matthew is a proud husband to his wife Jessica, a social worker at Catholic Charities, father to a 11-year-old daughter and caretaker of two family cats (who, he admits, only tolerate him). He is a mental health advocate, frequent speaker on leadership and emotional intelligence, and the creator of #EspressoWithMatt on YouTube.
