When you support Anchor House, your impact reaches far beyond providing a meal, counseling session, or a safe place to sleep. Your generosity helps create opportunities for lasting change in the lives of young people facing homelessness, abuse, or neglect.
Many young people who come to Anchor House are focused on meeting their most immediate needs. Because of your support, they have access to shelter, food, crisis intervention, and case management. These essential services help pave the way for stability, hope and opportunity.
When a young person knows where they will sleep at night, they can move beyond survival and focus on school. When they have access to counseling and supportive adults, they can begin healing from trauma. When they receive employment support, they build the skills and confidence that lead to independence.
These steps create the foundation for lasting change. Supportive relationships help young people navigate challenges, achieve housing stability, and build better futures. Young people who grow in confidence and stability go on to strengthen their communities, build strong families, mentor others, and serve as positive role models.
“Beyond housing and education assistance, Anchor House helped me develop independence and responsibility while still encouraging community involvement. I learned how to manage my own responsibilities while contributing positively to my community.” – Youth in our Safe Housing Programs
Every success story begins with someone believing that change is possible. That is where you play a role in creating ripples of hope and lasting change for young people.
“This program has been life changing for me and without it, I could have been homeless or unsure of where I would be today.” – Young person in our Rapid Rehousing Program
This past year, Anchor House served 767 young people through Safe Housing, Outreach and Supportive Services—an increase of 155 from the previous year. We anticipate serving a similar service level while continually enhancing our supportive services such as counseling and job/career navigation to support housing stability.
Every donation helps ensure that when a young person reaches out for help, Anchor House can be there with the support they need. With your partnership, we can continue creating ripples of positive change—helping young people find safety, stability, and the confidence to thrive for years to come.
